Genesis 1: The Beginning

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let

them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

Section 2 NIV

Jeremiah 17:7 "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose

and never fails to bear fruit."

compassion on them and healed their sick.

15 As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, "This is a

remote place, and it's already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food."

16 Jesus replied, "They do not need to go away. You give them something

to eat."

17 "We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish," they answered.

18 "Bring them here to me," he said. 19 And he directed the people to sit

down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.

20 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve

basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 21 The number of those

who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.

Matthew 4: Ministry in Galilee

23 Jesus was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people.

24 The news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him

all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them.

25 Large crowds followed Him from Galilee and the Decapolis and Jerusalem

and Judea and from beyond the Jordan.

4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall

be satisfied. 7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God"; for

God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.

17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming

1 . . . I saw a new heaven and a new earth; . . . .

2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from

God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle

of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; . . . . “

The New Jerusalem

10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and

showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,

11 having the glory of God . . . .

22 I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are

its temple. 23 And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
