Golden Text New International Version

Deuteronomy 32:3 . . . Oh, praise the greatness of our God!

4 He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.

Responsive Reading NIV

John 1:18 No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only,

who is at the Father's side, has made him known.

John 8:1 But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2 At dawn he appeared again in

the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him,

The Validity of Jesus' Testimony

12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world.

Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

13 The Pharisees challenged him, "Here you are, appearing as your own witness;

your testimony is not valid."

14 Jesus answered, "Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid,

for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where

I come from or where I am going. 15 You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. 16 But if I do judge, my decisions are right, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me. 17 In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two men is valid. 18 I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me."

26 "I have much to say in judgment of you. But he who sent me is reliable,

and what I have heard from him I tell the world."

Section 1 NIV

Psalm 86:11 Teach me your way, O LORD, and I will walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.

15 . . . you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,
slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

Psalm 119:5 Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees!

7 I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws.

15 I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways.

20 My soul is consumed with longing for your laws at all times.

29 Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me through your law.

30 I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on your laws.

Psalm 31:2 Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue; be my rock of refuge,
a strong fortress to save me. 3 Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.

5 Into your hands I commit my spirit; redeem me, O LORD, the God of truth.

Section 2 NIV

Isaiah 28:16 So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion,
a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; . . . “
Isaiah 51:1 "Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the LORD:
Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which

you were hewn;

John 3:6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

Matthew 4: Jesus Heals the Sick

23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. 24 News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought

to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the

demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them.

John 18:37 . . . . . . “for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world,

to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."

Section 3 NIV

1 Corinthians 3:11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid,

which is Jesus Christ.

John 8:31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my

teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth,

and the truth will set you free."

Luke 6:47 I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and

puts them into practice. 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. 49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house,

it collapsed and its destruction was complete."

Section 4 New American Standard Bible

Isaiah 59:4 No one sues righteously and no one pleads honestly.

They trust in confusion and speak lies; . . .

14 Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands far away; For truth has

stumbled in the street, And uprightness cannot enter.

Jeremiah 8:22 Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then

has not the health of the daughter of my people been restored?

Luke 8:43 And a woman who had a hemorrhage for twelve years, and could not be

healed by anyone, 44 came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak, and immediately her hemorrhage stopped.

45 And Jesus said, "Who is the one who touched Me?"

And while they were all denying it, Peter said, "Master, the people are crowding and pressing in on You."

46 But Jesus said, "Someone did touch Me, for I was aware that power had gone

out of Me." 47 When the woman saw that she had not escaped notice, she came trembling and fell down before Him, and declared in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched Him, and how she had been immediately healed.

48 And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace."

Section 5 NASB

Psalm 118:22 The stone which the builders rejected

Has become the chief corner stone.

Matthew 16: Peter's Confession of Christ

13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi,

He was asking His disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?"

14 And they said, "Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others,

Jeremiah, or one of the prophets."

15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"

16 Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

17 And Jesus said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and

blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.”

John 14:6 . . . "I am the way, and the truth, and the life;

no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

Section 6 NASB

Psalm 145:9 The LORD is good to all, And His mercies are over all His works.
10 All Your works shall give thanks to You, O LORD, And Your godly ones shall bless You. 11 They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom

And talk of Your power;

18 The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.

James 5:13 Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray.

14 Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;

15 and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord

will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.

16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that

you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish

much.

Matthew 10:8 "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons.

Freely you received, freely give.”

Section 7 NASB

Ephesians 2:19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow

citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

Psalm 27:4 One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may

dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD And to meditate in His temple.
5 For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle;
In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.

Joshua 24:14 "Now, therefore, fear the LORD

and serve Him in sincerity and truth; . . . “
