The Dominion Foundation
Whether
you’re in a position to help or need the help of in-home Christian Science
nursing care, you should know more about The Dominion Foundation (TDF). The
sole purpose of this benevolent organization is to provide financial assistance
for CS home nursing. Established in 1991, its assistance has since reached Mexico, Canada and South America as well as nearly every area of
the United States.
It
provides two forms of support:
- Benevolence to patients –
expenses incurred by engaging a CS nurse for in-home care on a temporary
basis.
- Financial assistance for
nurses – scholarships for nurse’s training and related travel, on-going
training, and nursing supplies and equipment for independent CS home care
nurses.
TDF
trustees recognize that Christian Science nursing can bring into a
patient's home both the loving, practical-care skills and the understanding of
Christian Science which can underpin a patient's healing experience. TDF
directs its funds solely toward bringing this two-fold caring into more homes,
and its trustees invite your contributions in order to maintain this flow of
assistance. With
501(c)3 status, tax-exempt donations can be received
as individual gifts,
bequests, and regular budgeted or special contributions through branch churches
and associations.
Anyone
who is relying solely on CS for healing and who needs assistance with the costs
of in-home CS nursing care can apply for assistance. Consideration is also
given to insurance deductibles as well as remaining expenses after insurance benefits
have been fully utilized. Applications and more information are available by
contacting The Dominion Foundation’s voice messaging service.
The
Dominion Foundation is based in Richmond, Virginia, and is managed by a four-member
board of Trustees.
