Purpose: The Foundation is a non-profit organization established by Christian Scientists to support the growth and understanding of Christian Science in the Russian-speaking field.

This unique organization originally grew out of a request to assist the Christian Science Society in St. Petersburg, Russia, in managing its building fund. Formerly known as the Committee to Support Christian Science Activities in the Russian-Speaking Field, under the auspices of the Pupils of the Association of Hildegard Arnesen, CSB, the Foundation now has its own 501(C)(3) non-profit status.

Activities of the Foundation in the Russian-speaking field include:

• Distributing Science & Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
• Facilitating the production and broadcast of Russian short-wave radio programming to the Russian-speaking field from Germany.
• Providing building-related financial assistance to groups and Christian Science Societies.
• Providing financial assistance for lectures and workshops sponsored by The First Church of Christ Scientist, in Russian-speaking areas.
• Maintaining a Web site that provides Russian translation of the Weekly Bible Lesson in print and audio.

A major project now under way is the translation of Persistent Pilgrim by Richard Nenneman. When published, this biography will provide the first comprehensive view of Mary Baker Eddy in Russian.

The Foundation is also working to establish regular Russian short-wave radio broadcasting from St. Petersburg, including daily broadcasts of the Weekly Bible Lesson. It also hopes to help facilitate the translation of other works by Mary Baker Eddy into Russian, as well as other relevant publications. Currently 100% of donations are used for benevolent activity.
