TMC plans Annual Meeting 2009

Dear Fellow Members and Friends,

It’s only a month away from Annual Meeting 2009! The Christian Science Board of Directors looks forward to sharing updates about the Church and its activities as well as some thoughtful ideas about what it means to be of "one accord in one place" (Acts 2:1, 4). It is an opportunity to come together for a Pentecostal day.

While many travel to Boston, far more attend the meeting via the Web. The main events will be webcast in either audio or video on www.churchofchristscientist.org/annualmeeting. Here is what you can expect.

Monday, June 8, 1 pm, Annual Meeting

Annual Meeting takes place in Boston and is video webcast live. The meeting begins at 1 pm EDT (17 UTC) and will last approximately 90 minutes. A few hours after the meeting is over, you should be able to view a replay or download it. It will be available for a year.

The preceding two days will feature related activities:

Saturday, June 6, 2 pm, Christian Science Periodicals Workshop

This workshop is led by Barbara Vining, CSB, President of The Mother Church, and Brian Talcott, CSB. It will be audio webcast live 2-4 pm EDT (18 UTC). Starting on Monday, you can listen to a replay which will be posted for a year.

Sunday, June 7, 2 pm, Hymn Sing

This program features hymns from the Christian Science Hymnal and the new Hymnal Supplement as well as selected musical performances. It will be audio webcast live 2-3:30 pm EDT (18 UTC). Starting on Monday, you can listen to a replay which will be posted for three months only.

Sunday, June 7, 5 pm, Special Sunday Evening Church Service

This service is the launch of the new time for the evening service. It will be audio webcast live 5-6 pm EDT (21 UTC). You can listen to a replay any time the following week.

Those coming to Boston for Annual Meeting might also like to look at the calendar of activities.

We look forward to greeting you all.

Warmly,

Nathan Talbot
